Julie Ampadu

Director

Julie is a widely experienced financial services Compliance Consultant, Trainer, Facilitator, and Professional Speaker who co-founded Chameleon Compliance Ltd in 2012.

Recently retired Chair and existing Director of The Association Of Professional Compliance Consultants (APCC), former Chair of the Personal Finance Society North-West region and ex-Committee member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in Manchester, Julie frequently contributes to UK-wide industry conferences, events and publications.

Working in a variety of FCA regulatory areas, Chameleon Compliance clients range from sole traders to high street banks, investment firms, mortgage lenders, insurance brokers and consumer credit firms, with specific expertise in Governance,  Culture, Training & Competence, Diversity & Inclusion, SMCR and Senior Manager Personal Development.

In 2024, Julie founded The Culture Space for senior managers under the SMCR, as well as a new SMF Readiness Programme for aspiring SMFs due to launch in October 2025, helping leaders and future leaders to evidence their ‘reasonable steps’ and build cultures where governance, integrity and accountability thrive.
